1. Warranty Coverage by Category

Lighting Fixtures: JMcrystal lighting fixtures come with a 3-year limited warranty, ensuring no defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty applies to the original owner and is non-transferable.

Handcrafted Rugs: Due to the nature of natural fibers and handmade construction, rugs are covered by a 1-year limited structural warranty. This covers significant weaving defects or premature unraveling under normal residential use.

LED Bulbs: LED bulbs are provided as a complimentary gift with our lighting fixtures. As they are provided at no additional charge, they are not covered under the warranty.
2. Covered Items
For Lighting:

Wiring integrity and electrical components.

Switch and socket failures.

Structural defects in frame or mounting hardware.

Finish defects (corrosion, abnormal peeling, or discoloration) under indoor conditions.
For Handcrafted Rugs:

Significant weaving errors or missing tufts upon arrival.

3. Exclusions (What is NOT covered)
This warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, or environmental factors, including:

Damage caused by accidents, fire, or natural disasters.
Lighting-Specific Exclusions:

Power surges or electrical spikes.

Exposure to extreme temperatures or outdoor weather (unless the fixture is specifically rated for outdoor use).
Rug-Specific Exclusions:

Normal Wear and Tear: Fading over time due to sunlight exposure, or flattening of the pile in high-traffic areas.

Artisanal Variations: Minor variations in color, shading, or texture which are inherent characteristics of handmade rugs and natural fibers (wool, jute, silk).

Shedding: Natural shedding of wool fibers, which is expected and subsides with regular vacuuming.

Improper Care: Damage from harsh chemical cleaners, pet accidents, or using a vacuum cleaner with a beater bar on high power.
4. How to Make a Claim

Choosing the proper rug size
Determining the best size for a room is just as important as choosing the proper rug style and color palette. At JMcrystal, we know the shape and size of a rug will help define furniture groupings and seating areas, creating a cohesive flow throughout your home.
For the Living Room
Consider a larger size, especially for hard floors, to tie the furniture pieces together into one comfortable seating arrangement. Placing furniture legs on the rug helps protect your flooring and anchors the space effectively.
For the Dining Room
You'll want a rug large enough to sit comfortably around the table without the chair legs falling off the rug. Generally:
- 8' x 11': Perfect for 6 chairs.
- 9' x 13': Ideal for 8 chairs.
- 10' x 14': Recommended for 10 chairs.
A square or round rug shape also works well for breakfast rooms with 4 chairs. We even offer 10' round rugs for 6-8 chairs.
For the Bedroom
In bedrooms, one large rug (8’x10’ or larger) feels luxurious, though the bed will cover most of it. Alternatively, smaller equal-sized rugs placed around the bed offer soft comfort right where you step in and out of bed.
Medium Sized Rooms & Coffee Tables
For medium rooms, 5’ x 8’ rugs are typical. This size is great for home offices or under coffee tables. Ideally, the rug should approximate the length and width of the furniture. Ensure the rug accommodates all four legs of the coffee table for a grounded look.
